Kalia, a poor cobbler, lives with his wife, Swapan, in Patna. He makes fantastic shoes with fine curling points. Tired of being poor, he seeks the help of a holy man. The holy man appoints him a ghost, Bhootram, who will earn Kalia a lot of money. But Bhootram must always be kept busy or he will eat them up! What will they do? The illustrations for this book are inspired by the world famous Mithila paintings of Bihar, popularly known as Madhubani.
