Those stories are folk stories. They are so old that nobody knows who first told them. They travel about from place to place and from country to country, and as they travel the details of story change. So the same story is found in different forms in different places. That is why folk stories never die. India has many folk stories ; more than any other country. Some of these stories have been put together to make this book.
