When hunting in the attic for grandmother's recipes, Tara finds something far more precious - her grandmother's old pen. Slowly, she realises that the pen is the one chance to make her grandfather remember happier times again. But a new friend in Mom's life and the disappearance of the pen makes Tara wish they had never come to their grandfather's house at all.
